Congratulations!!  The Minor Baseball Dodgers won the District 25 Tournament of Champions with a 9 to 3 victory over Ladera Little League.  The strong showing featured three innings of solid, no earned runs, pitching by starter Bebe Cano and brilliant relief pitching by Vincent Diaz.  In another highlight, Fred Mendoza homered over the outfield fence.  See the Photo of the Week below for a shot of the victorious team.

Fall Softball will return in 2009.  The league will be open to girls 9 and up and will begin in late July or early August.  If you are interested in participating as a player or a coach, please contact Bud Ramirez at 310-591-6257 for more information.  Click here for the flyer.

The 2009 All Star tournament is now underway.....the 9/10 year old baseball team got off to a good start with a 17-2 victory over Beverly Hills, and the 10/11 year old baseball team was victorious by a score of 6-0 over Wrigley.  For more scores and brackets, please follow this link to the District 25 All Star Tournament page.

It's a wrap.......League play has now been completed for CCNLL with the following results in each division:

• Majors Baseball - Pirates win the championship
• Majors Softball - A's win the championship
• Minors Baseball - Dodgers win the championship
• Minors Softball - Nationals win the championship
• AA Baseball - Dodgers win the championship
• T-Ball - A great time was had by all
• AA King of the Hill - CCLL Angels won the championship; AA Rockies won the consolation game.

Summer Baseball.......If you're looking for a little more baseball action this summer, (Big Money) Robert Moore will be running a baseball camp this summer up at Botts Field beginning Monday, June 22.  Open to children 5 to 17 the camp will meet Monday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm for the low price of only $300 for four weeks ($600 for eight weeks).  In addition to imparting a solid grounding in baseball fundamentals and providing plenty of actual game action, the camp will also stress sportsmanship, teamwork, and even the importance of schoolwork.  To sign up, or if you have questions please call 310-200-3906.  This camp is heartily endorsed by Culver City National Little League and Culver City Babe Ruth.

It's not too late to make your voice heard.......If you haven't done so already, please take the time to download and fill out the 2009 Questionnaire.  This form allows you to evaluate your and your child's 2009 CCNLL experience and offer suggestions on how the Board can improve the League going forward.  Your feedback also helps the league select coaches for the upcoming season.  The questionnaire is anonymous; but you are welcome to list your name if you wish.  You can mail your completed form to the CCNLL mailbox: Box 2113, Culver City, CA  90231-2113.
