Culver City Firefighter Dies
On Monday evening September 4th off-duty Culver City Firefighter, Chuck Baird suffered fatal injuries when his motorcycle crashed in Culver City. Chuck was an active member of the Culver City Fire Department for 12 years; beginning his career as a Firefighter in 1994, then advancing to the position of Paramedic/Firefighter in 1997, a post that he held until his death.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 12, at Veteran's Memorial Auditorium in Culver City, followed by a funeral procession to Holy Cross Cemetery, also in Culver City.

Chuck is survived by his wife and three sons, aged 24, 18, and 14 years-old, his mother and a sister. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chuck Baird Memorial Fund in care of the Culver City Firefighter's Association at 9600 Culver Blvd Culver City, CA 90232 (310) 253-5900.
