2007 CCNLL Local Rules MJBB
These are the local rules. Pitch counts are new
this year and it's likely that we will have some questions come up.
If you feel that we have omitted something or you would like any
clarification, please contact the league VP.
1) The home team is responsible for providing the official scorer.
The official scorebook is kept in the scorers booth. Between innings
the scorers for each team should consult with each other and the
official scorekeeper regarding the pitch counts. If we do this
proactively we create an atmosphere of good sportsmanship. This
reflects well on the teams, the league, the Mgrs and coaches. Most
importantly it sets the right example for the kids to follow.
2) The lineup card which is given to the opposing team and umpire
prior to the start of each game should have the players #, name and
League Age.
3) Through April 1st there will be continuous batting and free
substitution in the field.
4) 15 runs mercy rule in effect. This applies If the home team is
leading after 3 and 1/2 innings or after 4 innings if the visiting
team is leading.
5) There is a darkness activated light being installed at the
scorers booth. Once the light comes on the game stops. Regular LL
official game rules apply.
6) There may be times when a team cannot field nine players. If this
is the case and if the MGR knows in advance CCNLL will supply a pool
player. All pool players are to be assigned by the Players Agent. No
exceptions. If using a pool player he must bat 9th, and he cannot
pitch. If for some reason a 10th regular team player shows up to
play the pool player must still play nine consecutive outs.
7) CCNLL has established a Disciplinary Committee. The committee
consists of the President of the League, The Players Agent and
Umpire in Chief. The committee has the authority to immediately
suspend a coach, player, Mgr, or fan for one game, without appeal.
