Board of Directors Descriptions
PRESIDENT:
Responsible for the entire league. He/she mediates and facilitates at
all board meetings, works closely with the District 25 Administrator
and Players Agent. Arbitrates all disputes and breaks all tie votes.
Responsible for setting strategic direction of league, and focal point
of contact for all league issues.
PLAYERS AGENT:
Second-in-command to the President. Acts as a liaison between the
players and the board. Player’s Agent places all players on a
team, coordinates the major draft for baseball and softball, arbitrates
all player disputes, and coordinates all tournaments.
SECRETARY:
Responsible for taking meeting minutes at all board meetings and
distributing to board members. Reserves conference rooms for all
monthly meetings and CCNLL events. Responsible for all documentation
between the league and Williamsport.
TREASURER:
Responsible for all league finances, timely filing annual tax return,
and submitting annual financial statements to Little League
headquarters. Writes all checks, issues expense checks, pays league
bills and makes all bank deposits. Responsible for receipt of snack bar
cash box each night.
SAFETY OFFICER:
Responsible for insuring the safety of the fields and the players in
all divisions. Works closely with district to insure all safety rules
are met, solicits donations from organizations for first aid supplies,
distributes first aid kits to managers, and checks on the safety of
fields throughout the season. Also acts as Event Coordinator for
various ceremonies throughout the season.
VP MAJOR BASEBALL:
Responsible for Major Division ages 9-12. Creates the schedule of
games, organizes manager meetings, and acts as liaison between the
managers and the board. Runs tryouts, coordinates All-Star selection,
organizes divisional playoffs, and holds manager meetings.
VP MINOR BASEBALL:
Responsible for Minor Division ages 8-12. Creates the schedule of
games, organizes manager meetings, and acts as liaison between the
managers and the board. Runs tryouts, coordinates All-Star selection,
organizes divisional playoffs, and holds manager meetings.
VP AA BASEBALL:
Responsible for AA Division ages 7-8. Creates the schedule of games,
organizes manager meetings, and acts as liaison between the managers
and the board. Runs tryouts and holds manager meetings.
VP T-BALL:
Responsible for T-Ball Division ages 5-7. Creates the schedule of
games, organizes manager meetings, and acts as liaison between the
managers and the board. Runs tryouts and holds manager meetings.
VP SOFTBALL:
Responsible for Softball Divisions: Minors ages 7-12, Majors ages 9-12
and Seniors ages 13-15. Creates the schedule of games, organizes
manager meetings, and acts as liaison between the managers and the
board. Runs tryouts, coordinates All-Star selection, organizes
divisional playoffs, and holds manager meetings.
PARENTS AUXILIARY:
Acts as a focal point of contact for all team parents in all divisions.
Creates and maintains snack bar schedule of workers, organizes Picture
Day, and holds all team parent meetings once a month. Orders trophies
and distributes trophies and pictures to team parents.
FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR:
Acts as a liaison between community/corporate sponsors and the league
for solicitation of monetary and in-kind services. Procures donations
by face-to-face contact, collects donations, distributes mailings,
distributes sponsor plaques and organizes fundraising events.
SNACK BAR MANAGER:
Responsible for organizing a team of volunteers to purchase food,
beverages, paper products and cleaning supplies for the snack bar.
Insures snack bar is cleaned weekly and meets all health code
standards. Procures new equipment as necessary.
FIELD MAINTENANCE MANAGER:
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of both CCNLL fields by
organizing a team of volunteers and overseeing work. Schedules field
workdays for maintenance and repair of dugouts, baselines, outfields,
install and de-install of fencing and general landscaping.
EQUIPMENT/UNIFORM MANAGER:
Responsible for ordering and maintaining all uniforms and playing
equipment for all divisions. Coordinates with vendors for best pricing
and with managers/VP’s for ordering quantities. Must have
storage space available to store equipment throughout the season.
INFORMATION OFFICER:
Responsible for designing, organizing and maintaining the www.CCNLL.org web
site. Coordinates all schedule updates with the leagues secretary and
VP's of all divisions. Coordinates CCNLL badge deployment.
UMPIRE IN CHIEF:
Shall be responsible for procuring, instructing, assigning and
monitoring of all umpires in CCNLL.
EVENT COORDINATOR:
Responsible for organizing key league events including: Opening Day and
Closing Day Ceremonies, Picture Day, Annual Parent Dinner/Dance.
Supports Parents Auxiliary as needed with other league activities.
